The SCA Ben Knight Junior Basketball Camp in Parramatta, Sydney is the place to be for kids of all skill levels and ages. Join former two time NBL-All Star and Sydney Kings professional basketball player, Ben Knight, and improve your game this holiday!

The Complete Skills Camp is hosted at the Auburn Basketball Centre, which provides the perfect environment for players to refine their fundamental basketball skills, and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position. Emphasis is placed on fundamental development, shooting, offensive moves, defense, rebounding, team play, and more

Ben Knight

Two time NBL All-Star, Ben Knight, played basketball professionally from 1997-2011 across Asia, New Zealand and the Australia National Basketball League. He captained the Singapore Slingers from 2007-09 and the Sydney Kings team in the 2010-11 NBL season.

Championship player for the Sydney Kings in 2004-05 NBL Season. Norths Bears Waratah Championship League Championship coach and coach of the Year 2012. He is also a current ambassador for the Sydney Kings.

- Australia National Men’s Team from 2001-2004.

- Played for Sydney Kings in 1997, 2004-2006, and 2010-2011.

- Head Coach Norths Bears Championship men’s Team.

- Head Coach Redlands Private School.

- Head Coach Maccabi NSW Club.

Ben also played from the S.E. Melbourne Magic 98, Brisbane Bullets 98-99, Townsville Crocs 99-00, Cairns Taipans 00-03, Wellington Saints 2003-05, Wollongong Hawks 2003-04, Singapore Slingers 2006-08, Malacca Chin Woo Malaysia 2008, Perth Wildcats 2008-09, Melbourne Tigers 2009-10.

Camp Details

Ben Knight and his team of coaches continually embrace the opportunity to teach the game of basketball to young athletes. Their mission is to teach, develop, organise, manage and offer young players the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball while instilling life-lessons and values such as character, team work, discipline, respect and sportsmanship.

More Important Camp Details



Camp Check-in: 8:45am each day

Camp Hours are: 9:00am - 3:00pm every day.


Camp Check-out: There will be a graduation ceremony at 2.45pm on the final day of camp that all parents are encouraged to attend!


Lunch is not provided. Please bring a bagged lunch along with a water bottle and snacks. On site canteen will be open between 11:00am - 1:00pm each day. Please bring spending money if purchasing lunch/snacks at camp.


Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability. Parents are invited to attend the closing ceremony! Departure immediately following.


A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers after completing the registration. Please bring these forms with you to camp on the first day as we will be collecting them.


Auburn Basketball Centre is located in Wyatt Park, at the extreme western end of Church Street, and midway between Lidcombe and Auburn Railway stations. The basketball centre is a 10 minute walk from either Lidcombe or Auburn Station with the easiest access being from Lidcombe, where patrons would arive at Lidcombe Rlwy station, exit on the Church Street side of Lidcombe Station and then walk and follow Church Street west towards Wyatt Park. Bathroom and change room facilities are on site and a canteen will be open between 11:00am - 1:00pm each day.

  • 8:30am - 9:00am Registration
  • 9:00 – 9:30am Warm up and dynamic drills
  • 9:30am – 10:30am Ball handling drills
  • 10:30am – 11:15am Close range finishing
  • 11:15am – 12:00pm Shooting technique work
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm Break/lunch
  • 1:00pm – 2:00pm Game Play Drills, Offensive and Defensive Concepts
  • 2:00 – 3:00pm Competitive games
