The SCA Under Armour AFL Camp hosted by Kidzphyz features a three-day coaching program that covers all of the important skills around Aussie Rules. SCA provides specialist-coaching sessions with very experienced football coaches.

Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson is the Captain of the Northern Blues in the Victorian Football League (VFL).  He is an exceptional leader, player and junior coach.  Tom has been involved in coaching camp participants at Kidzphyz programs over the past 12 months and he brings extensive knowledge, leadership and capacity to the Kidzphyz coaching team.  

Camp Details

As teachers of physical fitness and movement, of school aged children, we are committed to the running of a series of programs which help kids develop physically, cognitively and emotionally, but most importantly, build and nurture self confidence and self-esteem through the many skills and experiences they will enjoy at our AFL Camp.

We aim to provide unique AFL Camp where all campers participate in positive and supportive environment - regardless of ability - and a culture where all kids feel they have the opportunity and chance to succeed.

More Important Camp Details

CAMP HOURS

CHECK IN

Camp Check-in: First day at 8.30am

Camp Hours are: 9.00am - 4.00pm each day. Aftercare available till 5.30pm, please advise SCA Head Office if required at time of registration.

CHECK OUT

Camp Check-out: There will be a 20 minute graduation presentation at 3.40pm on the final day of camp. Parents are strongly encouraged to be there!

CAMP MEALS

Morning and Afternoon Tea will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch, and a water bottle. Lunch can be purchased from the canteen on-site.

RAIN PLAN

In the event of inclement weather indoor facilities are available for us to move indoors.

REGISTRATION PACKET

A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers once they have signed up. The Sports Camps Australia health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

Facilities

Yarra Valley Grammar (YVG) has multiple ovals (4+) for use with cricket, football (AFL), soccer.  It has 1 full size hockey synthetic pitch as well as extra synthetic space for tennis and hockey practice.  Indoors provides two full size basketball courts with mixed uses including badminton, volleyball and minor games.  A 25 m swimming pool is onsite along with a full strength and conditioning weights room.  A canteen is onsite, but not available to campers during the SCA/Kidzphyz programs.

I don’t know how much their skills improved but my 11 year old said that he was taught the correct technique to punch ( which he had never been shown in his 4 years at club & 4 years at Auskick) & my 8 year old was excited to learn to tackle!!

12/07/2018 - I had to drag Levi wining to the camp. As soon as he arrived he didn’t want to leave. Love it. Our camp was 8.30-4pm which was perfect
