The SCA Junior Hockey Camp features a two-day coaching program that covers all of the important skills around hockey. SCA provides special coaching sessions mixed with fun games to help you improve your skills and have a blast!

You have the chance to make some new friends in this season at Hockey Camp and have all the tools/skills you need to make 2017 the best year of hockey you have ever had!

Meet Camp Coaches

Andy Van Pelt
Camp Director

Andy Van Pelt

Andy played at a high level in England before moving to Australia. He has been employed by Hockey NSW since 2014. He has coached the U15 Girls State Team (Field) and the U15 Boys State Team (Indoor) to a Gold Medals at Nationals.

More recently, for the past two years he has been the Assistant Coach of the U18 Boys State Team (Field) who picked up Silver both years at the nationals. Andy is one of three Regional Coaching Coordinator for the metropolitan area.

Alan Charlton

A former Under 21 Assistant Coach and current Under 18 Women’s Blues Team Coach, Alan has played in first grade in Sydney for 13 years. He’s a family man who loves spending time with his wife and two boys – he’s already getting them onto hockey at five and two years old respectively – and has an infectious love of the sport.

At SCA Junior Hockey Camp we strongly believe that the benefits of getting kids physical today will be the key to a future of lifelong wellbeing, health and happiness. We aim to provide unique Hockey Camp where all campers participate in positive and supportive environment - regardless of ability - and a culture where all kids feel they have the opportunity and chance to succeed.

More Important Camp Details

CHECK IN

Camp Check-in: First day at 8.30am

Camp Hours are: 9.00am - 3.00pm each day.

CHECK OUT

Camp Check-out: 3:00pm

CAMP MEALS

All Campers are required to please bring a packed lunch/snacks, and a water bottle.

RAIN PLAN

In the event of inclement weather, the director will notify whether the camp will move to indoor facilities or if it will be cancelled.

REGISTRATION PACKET

A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers once they have signed up. The Sports Camps Australia health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
