Full Day Camps

Half Day Camps

The half day camp programs are designed for younger players to get an introduction to the game and learn the fundamentals that will help them enjoy basketball. Half day camps usually run for 3 hours each morning and/or afternoon.

What basketball camp should I choose?

First, determine your skill level. If you need help with this, please call our office to speak with a sports specialist. Very beginning and young basketball players will be best suited at either the half day program or by choosing a 1 or 2 day option at a full day camp. If you enjoy it, we can always help you add another day.

Are the basketball camps a good fit for all levels of players? How will the kids be broken up on the court?

Our basketball camps welcome players of all ability levels unless otherwise indicated. On the first day of camp, campers will be divided by age first. Then we will put you through a series of drills to evaluate your skill level and place you in the appropriate group. SCA always tries to honour requests of the camper while keeping in mind what is best for the whole group. Experienced and non-experienced campers alike can enjoy and thrive at SCA Basketball Camps.

What are the ratios?

The ratio will typically be 1 professional coach for every 10 campers. Sometimes we are able to provide more coaches to get this number lower but this varies by location.

How much attention to safety is there at camp?

Safety has always been our first priority. We work hard to ensure that every precaution is taken to provide the safest camp environment possible. Every staff member is hired by our camp directors and every coach at camp has completed a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Our goal at every camp is to provide a very safe environment and take care of your kids as if they were our own.

I've signed up but need to change my week of camp I'm attending or even the location?

Rescheduling from one week of camp to another or even to a different location is normally not a problem and only takes a few minutes. Please call 1-800-753-127 and we would be happy to make any changes you need. If the camp you are switching to costs more, you will need to pay the balance. If it costs less, we will refund you the difference. The only time we cannot help you reschedule is if the camp you desire to move to is full.

Every camper will participate in the curriculum our coaches have helped develop at SCA Basketball Camps. For beginners, the program is designed to help kids learn the fundamentals of the game (shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, athletic stance/posture, rebounding). For more experienced players, we will help them take their game up a notch using advanced training methods and focusing on the mental aspect of the game!
