Mountain Biking – The safety you need

Mountain biking is one of the most thrilling sports, but it can also be very dangerous especially if you don’t take the correct safety precautions. Here are some tips to keep you safe whilst riding.

  • The most important thing when it comes to riding a bike is your helmet. This protects the most important thing, your brain.

  • Have the right gear, protect your hands from knocks, falls or blisters with either full or cut off gloves. Don’t forget shoes, make sure your shoes are appropriate for MTB riding and don’t forget to tuck in your laces. Don’t forget some MTB clothing, anything that will ensure you are comfy and won’t get in the way of riding.

  • Slow down for blind corners, this speaks for itself, take it slow and be careful as there is no visibility and a higher risk of falling.

  • Start small, then go big. Practice on the smaller trails and work your way to up once you gain confidence on each trail.
