Aussie Rules – Warm up tips

Aussie Rules is a sport that involves your full body. Be sure to warm up to prevent injuries and get your blood flowing to the muscles. Use these tips before training and games!

 

Start with a light jog around the field try 1-3 laps to get bring your heart rate up.


Spend a good 10 minutes on stretching both involving dynamic and static stretches. E.g. Leg swings, knee raises, ham string and quad stretches, grapevines, side run up and down the field

 

End your warm up with some light drills to get you ready, try some zig zag runs, ball passing, goal kicking and knee ups.
