Warm up for Softball

Warming up is essential when it comes to Softball, especially before a game. This impacts on your performance and reduces the risk of injury.

The following warm up routine will help you get your head in the game.

  • To get your blood flowing and heart rate up, lightly jog around the field for 5-10 minutes

  • Stretch out various muscles of the body, focusing more on areas such as arms and legs depending on which position you play.

  • Practice some drills depending on your position. E.g. take turns fielding and hitting the ball with your other team mates, pair up and practice throwing and catching with your partner.
