Hopman Cup – Two tennis legends go head to head
Over 14,000 were in attendance at the Perth Arena on Tuesday, the highest single-session attendance in the Hopman Cup’s 31-year history.
After almost 20 years of appearing alongside one another on billboards and record books, Roger Federer and Serena William faced each other across a tennis court for the first time. The mixed doubles delighted fans both in attendance and worldwide, they also took the opportunity to snap a quick selfie- the perfect viral social content
Serena said the match, which was full of laughter and had an exhibition feel to it, was a "great experience" and one she hoped would not end as quickly as it did
Both were delighted in the chance to hit the ball around with each other in the weeks leading up to the serious play of the Australian Open.
