Sports Camps Australia and the Australian Youth Football Institute are hosting a talent identification camp these school holidays! James 'Jimmy' Ball from Stoke City, will be the head coach for the camp in Homebush.

With only 60 spots available, this camp will give players the opportunity to be recognised and identified for local and global opportunities, with the potential for them to live their dream! Head Coach, James "Jimmy" Ball, who will be travelling from the United Kingdom, will assist in picking one winner who will receive a free scholarship trip to the UK and two winners who will receive half scholarships.

A self-motivated and forward thinking coach who has over 25 years experience managing and developing players across the UK and US, having created and developed innovative football coaching curriculums for US soccer organisations and is now part of the Category 1 Academy at Stoke City Football Club, leading the Youth Development Phase.

In the last decade, George Lazarou has evolved AYFI into a well recognised football learning and development centre based in Sydney Olympic Park. He has an exceptional record for developing talented youth players suitable for national, state and international competition. Lazarou has developed AYFI teams that are annually invited to play in some of the biggest tournaments around the world, as well as against some of the best youth football development teams in the world including Australia, UK, Asia and the USA. He currently holds a FFA'B Advanced Accreditation Senior Coaching Licence.

CAMP HOURS

Camp Check-in: First day at 8.30am.

This camp is NOT an overnight camp, parents/guardian are required to pick their child up at 4:00pm daily .

LOCATION

Training: Mason Park, Homebush, NSW. Located close to DFO Homebush

Lecture: Genea Netball Centre, 2 Olympic Blvd, Sydney Olympic Park, 2127, NSW

GENERAL PLAYER INFORMATION

  • Players will be provided with healthy meals and snacks over the duration of the camp
  • Water and fruit will also be provided
  • The camp will run over the 4 days from 9:00am - 4:00pm, which means players will be be required to be picked up daily.
  • Players will receive 1 x Under Armour kit, that will consist of 2 x t-shirts, 1 x shorts, 1 x Socks, 1 x sackpack and 1 x hat.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Soccer boots, Futsal Shoes and Runners
  • Shin guards
  • Water bottle 
  • Towel
  • Change of Clothes
  • Sunscreen
  • Note Pads and Pens

CAMP MEALS

Camp meals will be provided to all players. All meals are covered in the cost of the package.

REGISTRATION PACKET

A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers once they have signed up. The Sports Camps Australia health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

  • 11:15am 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 sessions using all the skills from ball mastery session

  • 1:00pm Small Sided Games 3v3 or 4v4 encouraging the use of all ball mastery skills
  • 1:30pm Passing and receiving session
  • 1:50pm Games involving passing and receiving
  • 2:15pm Break (snacks provided)
  • 2:30pm Training games 7v7 encouraging the use of all what has been worked on during the day sessions
  • 3:30pm Stretching and discussions on the days events and what will take place for day 2
  • 3:45pm Showers
  • 4:00pm Finish

  • 9:00am Arrive to Lecture Room
  • 10:00am International standard (Asian, European, USA) for talented player training regimes
  • 12:00pm Lunch Break (Lunch will be provided)

  • 2:15pm Break (Provided)
  • 2:30pm Training games involving crossing 7v7 encouraging the use of all that has been worked on during the days session
